THA Province

Hope is light even for the blind

One of the missions in Thailand is to train young blind people, whose lives often go through difficult times, and who have faced storms to reach the blessed moment when the waves are calm, to grow physically, mentally constructively in society.

We, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of the THA Province, are called to be among them diligently, to bring light of hope, relying on compassion, openness, listening and assistance in daily life skills, to help them discover themselves as they are and the grace of God's love in their lives, despite their limitations. They, too, can have successful careers like other people. Many among them are open to the blessing of becoming children of God, attending catechesis from our sisters to receive Baptism and to embark on Christian and Salesian life, including for when they form a family.
